Sometimes the readings in the Catholic liturgy of the Mass may contain themes better suited to a mature congregation. In this video, Dr Anne-Marie Irwin explains how in such cases, alternative scripture passages - such as those drawn from the Gospel Acclamation - can be used to convey the message of the liturgy in a way that is meaningful and accessible for children.
